A man has been left with serious injuries after a hit and run in Rishton on Friday (June 14).
Police were called to High Street at around 3.47pm, to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian and a BMW car.
The driver failed to stop at the scene.
The road was closed for some time after the crash.
Anyone with information has been asked to get in touch.
A police spokesperson said: “We were called to High Street, Rishton, at 3.47pm today (June 14) to a report of a collision between a male pedestrian and a BMW car.
“The pedestrian has suffered a serious leg injury. The driver of the BMW failed to stop at the scene.”
