Two people were treated by ambulance crews following a house fire in Padiham.

Three fire engines attended the incident in Station Road shortly before 9am this morning (June 8).

They received treatment from North West Ambulance Service after the fire was extinguished.

A fire service spokesperson said: "Three fire engines from Burnley, Padiham, and Nelson attended a kitchen fire in a domestic property on Station Road in Padiham.

"Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet, a ventilation unit, and a gas monitor to extinguish the fure.

"Two casualties received treatment at the incident by North West Ambulance Service."
