A man has been arrested as police investigate the assault of a Tesco Express worker on Whalley New Road, Blackburn.
At around 9.30pm on May 16, a store worker was left with a broken jaw following an attack.
Following a police appeal, a 28-year-old man from Clitheroe has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
A police spokesperson said: “Earlier this week we asked for your help identifying a man we wanted to speak to after a store worker was assaulted at the Tesco Express in Whalley New Road, Blackburn.
“It happened at around 9.30pm on May 16 and the victim suffered a broken jaw.
“Just to update you a 28-year-old man from Clitheroe was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
“Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal.”
