Blackburn law firm, Zenith Lawyers, has been thanked for donating towards Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

Members of the Peace Matters and Light Foundation, in partnership with Zenith Lawyers and Wellfield Healthcare Ltd, visited the hospital to present a cheque for £1,000.

The team were joined by the Lord Mayor of Manchester Councillor Paul Andrews.

A spokesperson for Preston based Light Foundation said: “We were honoured to gift £1,000 to the Therapeutic and Specialised Play Department at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital for this vital department to make a greater impact.

"This means the Play Team can purchase suitable and appropriate items for children across the hospital.

“In an attempt to bring further joy and happiness in the hearts of young patients, we delivered toys to a cancer patient ward, with gifts for the children and staff.

“Whilst we were sad to have not been able to visit the children themselves due to the current health and safety restrictions, we were delighted in being able to put a smile on their faces by giving these gifts.

“We hope that the gifts can bring some happiness to them and their families.”

The money will help to buy toys for patients at the hospital

Chief executive of Peace Matters, Qari Asim, said: "We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to the Royal Children's Hospital for such a memorable afternoon and to the brilliant NHS workers for their ongoing service during difficult times.

“We would also like to thank Zenith Lawyers and Wellfield Healthcare Ltd for their immense contribution towards this noble cause.”
