A bubbly five-year-old from Burnley has secured a major opportunity with Adidas as part of a collaboration with Disney.
Ava Digger is part of an Adidas campaign with Disney, advertising the Lion King range of products and clothes.
Her mum, Lorna Digger, said she is very proud of her daughter, who attends Briercliffe Primary School.
She said: “The news was quite unexpected.
“She is with an agency, Aim Sky High Talent, which she joined in September.
“In January we received a casting call for energetic children, aged between two and 12.
“We submitted a video of her introducing herself and dancing. We were shortlisted and invited to a London audition and there were so many people at the audition.”
During filming, Ava and two other children recreated the iconic walk across the log scene, from Disney’s Lion King. The videos and images will be shown across the world.
Lorna, who runs Dynamic Dance Studio in Burnley which Ava also attends, said Ava is a natural in front of the camera.
She said: “She’s only five so she doesn’t quite understand [how big this is]. When we went down to film she wasn’t fazed at all.
“I was thrilled when we heard she got it and was in the middle of teaching. Our agent wouldn’t stop phoning.
“Adidas and Disney are massive companies and the campaign is being shown worldwide. I am so proud of her.
“She is a natural. She is a dancer and attends a theatre school. She just loves it and is constantly dancing around the house.
“As long as she is enjoying it and loves what she’s doing that is all that matters.”
Lorna hopes this will open up other opportunities for Ava in the future.
“Being a dance teacher myself you can tell when a child has [natural talent] in them,” Lorna said. “She will choose her own career path but she loves this right now.
“Hopefully this will be a stepping stone for future opportunities for her.”
