The Blackburn Rovers Community Trust has thanked fans for raising £1,000 for the charity by buying a new season ticket for the forthcoming season.
The trust said the money will be put towards match tickets for those less fortunate to provide them with an opportunity to watch matches at Ewood Park.
In December, Blackburn Rovers ran a 'Fan Takeover Day', and supporters groups created and operated a Christmas Funding Appeal, raising funds for Blackburn Rovers Community Trust.
The success of Fan Takeover Day resulted in the club winning the Fan Engagement Award at the 2024 EFL Awards.
In total, more than £3,000 was raised courtesy of a number of donations for the Christmas Funding Appeal from Blackburn Rovers supporters all around the World.
Blackburn Rovers Community Trust chief executive, Gary Robinson, said: “Blackburn Rovers prides itself on offering affordable live football as well as being a club that is embedded within the heart of our local community.
“Everyone should be given the opportunity to watch live football if they wish, but unfortunately, some people are not fortunate to do so.
“As part of our commitment to support our local community, we want to provide as many people with the chance to watch Blackburn Rovers who may not have the chance to do so.
“We are so grateful of the kind donations we have received so far from supporters who have purchased season tickets for the 2024-25 season, to help provide match tickets for those less fortunate.
“The generosity of our supporters once again showcases why Blackburn Rovers is a special football club.”
The club sold more than 3,000 season tickets in the first week of sales, and this year, has reduced ticket prices by £30 off last year’s early bird prices to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the historic Premier League title-winning campaign.
Anyone wishing to donate to the charity when buying their season ticket can do so at the point of purchase.
There is also the option for supporters who are UK taxpayers to add a gift aid to their donation.
This comes at no extra cost to you but will add an extra 25 per cent to your donation, which will help by providing further funds for the charity.
