A former estate agent in East Lancashire is set to become a beauty salon following council approval.
The site In King Street, Whalley, has been vacant and was proposed to be converted by Mrs Rebecca Haworth-Slater, of Billington, back in March.
The existing property is a two-storey mid-terrace occupying both floors of the building.
It has a timber main entrance door with fanlight above, and white UPVC windows to the ground and first floor.

A heritage statement submitted to Ribble Valley Borough Council said: “The proposal seeks permission to change the use of the vacant commercial office to a beauty salon.
"The proposed change of use will have no detrimental impact on the Conservation Area.
“The proposal also seeks permission for minor alterations to the front elevation and a separate application for advertisement signage.
“The existing frontage is lacking character and requires upgrading.
“The timber panelling will be surface-mounted and will not have an out-of-proportion projection into King Street. The paint finish will be in keeping with the surrounding area and street scene.

“The advertisement signage will be flat cut letters, and surface mounted on to the new timber facade. The lettering will be constructed from acrylic and colour gold. Additional business signage will be located between the existing door and window position.”
The council approved Ms Haworth-Slater’s application and work to change the use of the building will begin soon.
