Blackburn Infirmary, 1977
We come across some surprising photographs when we are going into the archives for Looking Back.
This picture is dated 1977 and simply says Blackburn Infirmary.
Clearly some form of operation is being carried out but it all looks rather strange. Look at the hoses connected to the surgeons and nurses around the operating table who all appear to be wearing protective masks.
