In searching through the archives for photos to include in Looking Back we occasionally come across ones which are of a more unusual nature.
This picture from November 1966 certainly falls into that category.
It shows the new tower blocks being built around the Queen’s Park area of Blackburn.
The photograph must have been standing at the top of one of the towers to take the photo. What makes it more unusual are the various arrows which had been applied to the photo - using tape, this was long before computer generated graphics - which we think were to indicate where a new wall around Queen’s Park would be built and the location of the new access road to the flats.
