The most popular names for babies born in Blackburn with Darwen have been revealed in new data.
The Office for National Statistics has announced the most popular names for boys and girls born in 2022, the most recent data available.
Khadijah was the most popular girl's name in Blackburn with Darwen with 14 babies given the name in 2022.
This replaced Maryam, which was the top name in 2021, when 14 parents chose the name for their baby.
Meanwhile, Muhammad was the most common boy's name in the area.
In total, 99 babies were given the name in Blackburn with Darwen in 2022.
It was also the first choice in 2021 when 84 parents chose the name for their baby.
Meanwhile in Burnley, Muhammad was also the most popular boy's name, with 42 babies given this name.
Similarly to Blackburn, this was also the most popular name in 2021 when 30 baby boy's were given that name.
For girl's names, Grace was the most popular girl's name in Burnley with seven babies given the name in 2022.
This replaced Willow as 2021's top name when eight parents chose the name for their baby.
Nationally, Noah was the most popular boy's name for the second year in a row with 4,586 children given this name.
Muhammad was second, but when other spellings of the name - Mohammed and Mohammad - are taken into account it is the most popular name with 6,715 babies receiving it.
The other most popular boy's names in the top five were George, Oliver and Leo.
For girl's, nationally the top four names remained unchanged - Olivia, Amelia, Isla and Ava - with Lily entering the top five.
James Tucker, head of health analysis at the Office for National Statistics said: "Noah was the most popular name for boys in 2022, for the second year in a row, having replaced Oliver at the top in 2021."
"Theodore, Theo and Freddie are three new entries into the top 10 boys' names in 2022. Isabella is the only new entry into the girls' top 10."
Nationally, Leon, Elias, Musa, Axel and Ibrahim were the only new entries to the top 100 list for boys, while for girls new entries were Ophelia, Ottilie, Eloise, Nova, and Fatima.
