Repairs to a water leak in Clayton-Le-Moors, that residents have been complaining about for months, have had to be postponed.
United Utilities was set to carry out work in Whalley Road on Monday (May 6) but the work has had to be postponed as it is more complex than originally thought.
When the work is carried out, it is set to affect the water supply to nine properties in the area.
Zofia Nightingale posted an image of the road, flooded with water, and says there have been issues with water leaks on the road since September.
She said: “I am furious with this road this nonsense has been going on since last year… my neighbour has been campaigning and fighting this too.”
United Utilities said it will be in touch with customers to let them know when works will be re-scheduled.
A United Utilities spokesperson said: “Our engineers were hoping to carry out work in Whalley Road [on Monday, May 6].
“Unfortunately this is a complex repair and it is necessary to postpone the works. We apologise for any inconvenience and will be in touch with customers to let them know when the work is rescheduled.”
