A full closure has been put in place on the M65 this afternoon.
Police have closed the motorway this afternoon (Sunday, May 5) between junction four for Blackburn and five for Guide following a crash.
Officers say they expect the closure will be in place for some time.
It is not yet known how many vehicles are involved in the crash or whether anyone has been seriously injured.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "Please be aware that there is a full closure in place on the M65 between junctions 4 and 5.
"The motorway is closed due to a road traffic collision and we anticipate this will be closed for some time.
"We’ll provide an update once cleared and thank you in advance for your patience."
