United Utilities is carrying out “complex repair works” on a street in Rishton due to a water leak.
The water supply company has warned people on Stourton Street to expect a drop in water pressure over the next few days, as the works are carried out.
Pictures show United Utilities crews working at the site in the early hours of Wednesday (April 24). The pictures show "road closed" signs and a flooded road.
United Utilities hoped works would be completed by today (April 25) but the deadline has had to be extended as “more complex repair works” are needed.
A spokesperson said: "United Utilities attended on Stourton Street in Rishton to repair a leak.
“The situation is more complex and repair works on Stourton Street will not be completed today (April 25).
“Customers may experience a slight drop in water pressure over the next few days. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
