Police are looking for a man left injured in a suspected machete attack as he could need medical attention.
Alex McKenzie, 22, managed to make off from the scene but police believe he could require medical help as a result of the injuries suffered in the attack.
The attack happened shortly before 3.30pm on Wednesday, April 17 in Witheray Road, Lancaster.
Daniel Martin, 38, of Mayfield Avenue, Lancaster, was charged with section 18 wounding with intent, possession of a knife/bladed article in a public space, and possession with cannabis with intent to supply.
He was due to appear in court yesterday, Friday (April 19).
Alex is described as white, slim, around 5ft 10in tall, with light brown hair. He was last seen wearing grey shorts, a baseball cap, and a hooded jacket.
Police are also appealing for help to identify a man captured on CCTV in connection with the attack.
Detective inspector Matt Entwistle, of Lancaster CID, said: “This was a shocking incident which has left a man with some significant injuries which could require medical attention.
“I would appeal to anyone who has any information about where Alex McKenzie could be to come forward and let us know.
“We also want to trace the man in the CCTV images so if anyone knows who this could be I urge them to contact us.”
