Plans have been approved to provide a new annexe to a house in Langho for entertaining guests.
Applicant Ms A Holt applied to Ribble Valley Borough Council in December to demolish the existing outbuilding in Kenyon Lane and build a one-storey annexe in its place.
A design and access statement submitted to the council said the annexe will provide a garden room/guest entertaining area with accommodation too.

The statement said: “The brief is to propose a replacement one-storey outbuilding to provide a garden room/guest entertaining area and additional accommodation, adjacent to the existing dwelling.
“The front of the outbuilding will retain its use as a garage whilst the main living space will accommodate a bar/kitchenette, bedroom, and bathroom.
“This will allow the outbuilding to be utilised as a standalone, private accommodation when the applicant hosts long-distance family members.”
Currently, the outbuilding is used as a garage and log store.

The materials used will match the existing house, constructed of stone, and new windows will match the existing ones.
The front part of the building will retain its use as a garage with an open log store to the side.
The council approved the construction subject to various conditions, including that work must start within three years and that the building should not be used as sub-let accommodation.
