There are long delays on the motorway in Lancashire this morning due to a crash.
Traffic was held on the M6 at J31 (Samlesbury) from around 7am this morning, April 16, due to the multi-vehicle incident.
Vehicles have since been released and the crash moved to the hard shoulder, but there are still delays in the area, with slow traffic on the A59 westbound on approach to the motorway.
The AA traffic website said: "Long delays due to a crash, now on the shoulder on M6 northbound from J30 M61 to J31 A59 Preston New Road (Samlesbury).
"Traffic was released after being held for a short period of time. All lanes have been re-opened."
Lancashire Police confirmed there were minor injuries but did not provide any further information.
