A vehicle has been seized in Longridge after police checks showed it had no insurance or MOT.

Officers patrolling in Green Lane came across a car causing an obstruction.

They checked the vehicle's details and found the offences. The vehicle was seized and the owner has been reported.

Officers also came across a car parked inconsiderately in Mersey Street, and the owner of that vehicle has been reported too.

A police spokesperson said: "We will continue to monitor, as parking issues are a problem that residents tell us they want local policing teams to act upon."
