A book sale is taking place this weekend in support of Cancer Research UK, and avid readers are being encouraged to attend.
The Darwen local committee of Cancer Research UK, the leading charity in fighting the disease, is holding a 'Breakfast and books' event on Saturday, April 6, open to all.
There will be a wide range of good quality paperback books for sale, along with a raffle, with all proceeds going towards supporting the charity.
Attendees will be able to browse the range of fiction and non-fiction books on offer, while enjoying a warm drink and a toasted breakfast put on by the committee.
The event is taking place at the Carus Centre in Queen's Square, Hoddlesden, from 10am to 12pm.
Admission to the event costs £3, which includes a slice of toasted fruit bread and a hot drink.
All are welcome to attend.
