Lancashire Police have released a new video appealing for information of the murder of a man in Skelmersdale.

It has been a month since Lenny Scott, 33, the 'much-loved' father-of three, was shot and killed in Skelmersdale.

His family have asked police to release this video of Lenny with two of his children in the hope it moves someone to come forward with information.

Detective Supt Gareth Willis, our Head of Major Crime, said: “We have made some good progress in the month since Lenny was killed and our dedicated investigation team continue to work tirelessly to identify all those responsible for this heinous crime.

“This murder was clearly well planned and is nothing short of a calculated and cold-blooded assassination. We know that there are people out there who know why this much-loved father-of-three was killed and who was involved. I am appealing to them to do the right thing and come forward and talk to us.

“I want to thank all those people who have come forward with information and footage so far and appeal to anyone who has still not been in contact with us to do so as soon as possible. You might have the key piece of information which helps us find out who killed Lenny.”

Police launched a murder investigation after Lenny was shot outside a gym on Peel Road in Skelmersdale on Thursday, February 8.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services, Lenny, from Prescot, died later in hospital.

His funeral took place in Rainford today (Monday, March 11).

Four people, all from Liverpool, has been arrested as part of the police investigation.

A 34-year-old man and a 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, a 37-year-old man on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and a 27-year-old man on suspicion of assisting an offender.

They have all since been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "Our thoughts remain with his loved ones, and they continue to be supported by trained officers.

"A dedicated team of detectives and staff are continuing their relentless hunt for Lenny’s killers.

"We have a large investigation team assigned to this case, who are carrying out enquiries throughout the North-West to identify all those involved in Lenny’s murder and bring them to justice.

"We have looked through hundreds of hours of CCTV footage as we piece together a full picture of what happened in the hours, days and weeks before and after Lenny’s murder.

"From our ongoing enquiries we now know the gunman left the murder scene outside the gym on Peel Road on an e-bike and headed towards Digmoor in Skelmersdale and then onto Upholland.

"We would continue to ask for people to come forward with CCTV, dashcam or Ring doorbell footage."
