Motorists navigate their way through what was effectively a giant building site off the Longsight Road near Langho in August 1970.
Work was well underway on constructing a large roundabout close to the Petre Arms, all part of the Clitheroe to Whalley bypass which was under construction.
What is now the Mytton Fold Hotel would be off to the left of the photo.
