A car being driven without the owner's consent was brought to a stop by a police stinger.
Police say the driver of the white Volkswagen Tiguan was doing so without the consent of the owner and had failed to stop numerous times when prompted to by officers.
They attempted to get away but lost control after being stung by a police stinger.
The driver was arrested for 'numerous' offences.
A police spokesperson said: "The driver of this vehicle had taken it without the owner's consent and when asked to stop by the police, failed to do so.
"The driver made every attempt to get away but ultimately lost control after he had been stung by an armed response vehicle.
"The driver was arrested by the roads policing unit for numerous offences and will be dealt with later this morning (March 10)."
The incident happened in Overton.
