Police investigating the death of a 50-year-old have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.
Detectives investigating the death of Damian Jackson in Lancaster last year have confirmed they arrested a 54-year-old man on suspicion of murder on Wednesday (March 6).
He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Damian, 50 was found dead in his flat in Regent Street, Lancaster, on July 25, 2023.
A Home Office post-mortem found that he died as a result of multiple injuries.
The last confirmed sighting of Damian was at 10.18am on Sunday July 23, at the Aldi store, Aldcliffe Road, Lancaster.
Detective Chief Inspector Jane Webb of Lancashire Police’s Force Major Incident Team, said: “Since Damian’s death we have carried out extensive enquiries and the investigation continues to provide the answers for his family.
“We continue to appeal for information from the public as we piece together what happened to Damian.
“Any information we receive, we are grateful for.
"You might think a piece of information is relatively insignificant, however it could play a big part in the investigation.”
