We love this photograph which shows a typical garage forecourt in the Sixties.
This particular forecourt belonged to Barrowford Motors and was pictured in May 1968.
The rosettes on the fascia boards identify the garage as a BMC dealership selling Austin, Morris and Wolseley cars.
The vehicles lined up on the forecourt must have been part of the garage’s used car stock and include a Ford Anglia and a Mini. Can you identify the other three?
As well as car sales, the garage was also a fully functioning petrol station - you can see the Total pumps and the sales kiosk plus the servicing bays on the right of the picture.
If you remember the garage or can identify the models, email bygones@nqnw.co.uk or leave a comment.
