*UPDATE: The road has now reopened*
A road in the Ribble Valley is closed while police deal with a crash.
The A682, between Long Preston and Gisburn, is closed. Police expect the road to be shut “for some time” and will issue an update once it has cleared.
According to police, the crash involved two cars. The severity of injuries is not yet known.
A police spokesperson said: “We’re currently at the scene of a road closure on the A682 which is closed between Long Preston and Gisburn.
“The road is closed due to a road traffic collision and we anticipate this will be closed for some time.
“We’ll provide an update once cleared.
“It looks like two cars [are involved]. Injuries unclear.”
