A driver and car passenger are awaiting a day in court, after being stopped by police in Leyland.
The male driver only had a provisional licence. He also failed a drug test for cannabis and cocaine.
The passenger, whose vehicle it was, was “rather upset” when officers told her that she was also going to be reported, for allowing the vehicle to be driven by an uninsured driver.
The driver arrested for drug driving and reported for having no licence and no insurance. Both are set to appear at court.
A police spokesperson said: “Vehicle stopped in Leyland after checks find that it is often driven by the keeper and an unknown male whilst under the influence. Male driving on this occasion who unfortunately only had a provisional licence. To make things worse, he also tested positive for cannabis and cocaine.
“Passenger, whose vehicle it was, was rather upset when she found she was going to be reported also for permitting the use of the vehicle with no insurance.
“Driver arrested for drug driving and reported for having no licence and no insurance. Both will be going for a day out at court.”
