Officers have issued a warning, after reports of a male searching vehicles in Barrow.
There have been reports of a man “rooting through vehicles” overnight on March 2, into March 3.
Anyone with CCTV or information has been asked to get in touch.
A police spokesperson said: “We have been aware of a male rooting though vehicles overnight on March 2 into March, in the Barrow area.
“We are asking for anyone with CCTV of this male or if you've had your vehicle targeted to please contact us."
