Seventy-six new affordable homes are set to be built following council approval.
The homes will be developed on land east of Charter Lane, Charnock Richard, Chorley, after Your Housing Group completed the purchase of the 5.4 acre site.
The housing group has now appointed Westchurch Homes to build the scheme, which will comprise a mix of one, two, three and four bed properties, all available for affordable housing tenures, affordable rent and shared ownership.
The plans, which have been approved by Chorley Council, will create an attractive housing development that will bring quality, affordable homes to the area. The site is within walking distance to local schools, and just a short distance from local amenities.
Lorraine Donnelly, development director for Your Housing Group, said: “We are pleased to have completed on this site, and look forward to bringing the development forward.
