Three fire crews were called to a blaze at a house in the Audley area of Blackburn.
The incident happened at around 3.30pm today (Monday) on Walter Street, off Audley Range.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue said firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, and were at the scene for two hours.
One casualty was later assessed by North West Ambulance Service.
