Police have arrested a youth after train services were stopped due to him running down the tracks.
British Transport Police officers were at Leyland station yesterday (Sunday, February 25) shortly before 6pm when they spotted a youth running away down the track.
Services along the line were stopped while police searched for the youth along with their dogs unit.
He was eventually found hiding in vegetation and was arrested for an offence of railway obstruction.
A police spokesperson said: "When officers attended Leyland station they spotted a youth running away down the track.
"Services were stopped whilst we searched the line with BTP Dogs, eventually locating him hiding in vegetation.
"He was arrested for an offence of railway obstruction. Enquiries ongoing."
