The news last week that Princess Anne is to visit Trawden in April sent us into the archives to pull out a few photos of previous visits she has made to East Lancashire.
The princess has been a relatively regular visitor to the area over the years.
In 1980 she came to Blackburn to open a new wing at the Infirmary.
In 1994 she went to Altham to the headquarters of uniform manufacturer Simon Jersey and also to open Clayton Brook House.
Then in 1999 she was the guest of honour as the new lantern tower was consecrated at Blackburn Cathedral. She also visited Turf Moor, home of Burnley FC.
On each occasion, crowds lined the streets hoping to get a glimpse of the royal visitor and she spent time talking to many of those involved in the various occasions.
Did you ever meet the princess during one of her visits?
