A man injured himself while trying to break into a home in Accrington.
At around 10pm on Sunday, February 18, police were called to reports of a burglary at an address in Hawksworth Road.
According to police, a person entered the property through an upstairs window, injuring himself in the process.
People in the house were alerted to this and contacted police. A man was arrested.
Anyone with information has been asked to get in touch with police.
A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: “You are receiving this message to make you aware of a burglary that occurred around 10pm on Sunday, February 18, at a property on Hawksworth Road, Accrington.
“During the hours of darkness, an offender has entered the property through an upstairs window, injuring himself in the process.
"The occupants of the house were alerted to this and contacted us. The male was arrested and has been dealt with accordingly.
