*UPDATE: The road has now reopened*
A road is closed in Huncoat after a crash.
Station Road is closed from Enfield Road to the crossing on Station Road. Motorists have been urged to avoid the area.
This is after a lorry crashed into a building and lamp post, blocking the road.
An update will be issued once the road has reopened.
According to AA Traffic and Travel, there is heavy traffic along the road due to the crash.
A police spokesperson said: “Good afternoon, we are currently dealing with a road traffic collision on Station Road, Huncoat.
“The road is currently closed from Enfield Road to the crossing on Station Road. Please avoid the area and we will update once the road reopens.
"A lorry has collided with a building and lamp post, blocking the road. No injuries. Call came in 1.02pm."
A spokesperson for AA Traffic and Travel said: “Road closed and heavy traffic due to crash on Station Road both ways from Enfield Close to Edgar Street.”
Lancashire Police has been approached for further details.
