A man has been arrested after causing a disturbance at Blackpool North train station.
There were reports that a person had ‘spat at a member of rail staff’. Several items were also said to have been thrown at the victim, including a can, wet floor sign and a bag of rubbish.
A glass bottle was also thrown at the victim, which hit him.
A 35-year-old man has been charged with assault
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: “A 35-year old male was arrested at Blackpool North after a member of rail staff [was spat at].
“Several items (a can, two A-boards, a wet floor sign and a bag of rubbish) [were thrown] towards the victim, plus a glass bottle which hit him. Male has been charged with assault.”
