A driver was stopped, reported and had his car seized after driving while uninsured and without a licence on the A666.
The driver was spotted on the major road, which leads on through Bolton, Darwen and on into Lancashire by police earlier on Saturday, February 17.
Officers say that the driver had also been travelling on the motorway, again without a licence or insurance.
A Lancashire Road Police spokesperson said: “The uninsured, non-licence holder of this vehicle didn't see a problem with driving his car even on the motorway.
“The vehicle was stopped on the A666, seized and the driver reported for both offences.”
An image suppled by police from the scene shows the car having been stopped on the A666 in Darwen close to the turning to Darwen Cricket Club and to Earcroft Children’s Centre.
This comes amid long running concerns about anti-social driving, including people driving without a licence or insurance, across Greater Manchester and Lancashire in recent times.
