A motorbike rider made sure they spent Valentine's Day alone in a cell after they were arrested following a police chase.
Officers in Blackburn saw the rider heading straight towards them yesterday evening (February 14) and requested him to stop, but he instead quickly dismounted and ran off.
After a pursuit, the rider was caught and arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, and drug driving.
A police spokesperson said: "Wearing a balaclava may cover your face, but it won't hide your identity forever.
"The rider of the suspected stolen motor vehicle was witnessed driving straight towards an officer on foot, when they have requested for it to stop.
"The rider has made a quick decision to cut their losses in a movie-like dismount, where they have run on foot.
"A candle-lit dinner for one in the custody cell awaits."
