Traffic has been busy on the M65 westbound this evening (February 8) after a crash.

A crash closed two lanes between junction four, near Darwen, to junction three.

The accident has now cleared and traffic is currently starting to clear after a large amount of congestion.

A spokesperson for traffic analytics company INRIX said: “Delays cleared on M65 Westbound at junction four. Afternoon rush hour delays, not helped by an earlier accident which has cleared.”

Police confirmed that there had been a crash but said no one was injured.

A spokesperson for AA Traffic and Travel said: “Delays of one minute and delays easing on M65 Westbound. Average speed 30 mph.”
