Homeowners have been urged to remain vigilant after reports of lead flashing being stolen from roofs across Burnley.
Officers have received reports of the lead being stolen from properties on Harling Street and Lowerhouse Lane.
On Harling street, the lead was thought to have been stolen from the roof of a property between 10pm on February 2 and 4pm on February 3.
On Lowerhouse Lane, police received a report that a property had some lead flashing stolen from the porch roof.
This was thought to have been between midnight and 11.15am on February 5.
Homeowners have been urged to check their own properties to see if any lead has been removed.
A police spokesperson said: “Please can I just advise residents if possible to check to see if they have had any removed as we have had a number of reports over the last weekend of some being stolen.
“If you have then please let us know by calling 101 in order to get it logged.”
