A man has been arrested, as police investigate reports of thefts from vehicles in Darwen.
Over the last three days, officers have received reports of theft from vehicles in the Britten Street, Belgrave Road and the East Park Avenue areas of Darwen.
A man has since been arrested on suspicion on suspicion of theft from/interfering with motor vehicles and is currently assisting officers with enquiries.
The police has warned motorists to never leave valuables on show in a vehicle.
A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: “You may be aware that there has been an increase in theft from vehicles in the Britten Street/ Belgrave Road/ East Park Avenue areas of Darwen over the last three days.
“A male has been arrested on suspicion on suspicion of theft from / interfering with motor vehicles and is presently assisting us with our enquiries.
“Please, as always, ensure you don't leave any valuables on show in your vehicles and ensure your vehicles are locked and secured properly.
"Also please let us know if you see anything or anyone acting in a suspicious manner in your areas.”
