A van driver with three young children on board was found to be three times over the drink drive limit.
Officers stopped the vehicle on the M6 northbound carriageway over the weekend after it was seen 'swerving across the carriageway'.
Lancashire road police said: "We used TPAC tactics to safely stop the vehicle near Lancaster.
"Shockingly the driver was more than three times legal alcohol limit with three young children on board."
The driver arrested and the children safeguarded.
