A moody image of Blackburn which is reminiscent of the days when the mills belched out smoke and coal fires left the town shrouded in a semi-permanent smog.
But as eagle-eyed readers will have realised, this photo does not date back to the 1930s.
It was actually taken in December 1990 when weather conditions led to low-lying fog. Rising through the gloom you can see the flats at Larkhill.
