A woman was punched in the head at Lancaster Station.
Officer said the attack on the passing woman was unprovoked, adding that she was punched in the head by "an intoxicated man".
A man was arrested. He has since been charged with assault and being drunk and disorderly.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: “An intoxicated male was on Lancaster Station when he launched an unprovoked assault on a passing female, punching her twice in the head.
“Officers were on scene moments later and arrested the suspect. He’s been charged with assault and being drunk and disorderly. He has been bailed to court.”
