Jon Dahl Tomasson is not concerned about Adam Wharton's frame of mind with speculation surrounding his future.
Blackburn Rovers have rejected an offer from Crystal Palace for his services. The Eagles may well come back with another bid before Thursday's January deadline.
Tomasson has been clear that he'd prefer to keep Wharton until the summer and believes that would be the best time to cash in. He signed a new long-term contract at the start of December so the club have control of the situation.
The head coach is not concerned about Wharton's frame of mind and believes his affinity to the club means he will go with Rovers fans' blessing when the time is right.

"I think so (he won't be affected). He has a great attitude, he comes from a great family. He is a Rovers man after all," Tomasson said.
"He has come through the youth and done a lot of great things for the club, he is still doing that. Timing in football is everything.
"When do you buy a player, when do you sell a player? Timing is everything. With one thing left in the January window, that is not the best time but I am not in charge of those things.
"If I was, I wouldn't sell him now, I'd sell in the summer. There will be a lot of clubs wanting to buy him in the summer. If he plays more games, adds more goals, and assists, the price could be even higher.
"I think one day he will go away. I think the Rovers family should be proud of him and enjoy the different stages. I think Adam understands, it's part of football.
"At the end of the day, I think a lot of clubs will be coming, even in the summer. I think lots of clubs will be knocking on the door.
"This is the game. That's why the club has to prepare for every circumstance. If someone gets injured, then they must have another player ready if it's a position that is stretched.
"It's the same if a club makes a good offer for a player. The club should have their homework done."
