A person has been injured after a crash in Lancaster.

Traffic is building on Scotforth Road and officers have urged motorists to find an alternative route while driving.

Police confirmed that a minor injury has been reported.

A police spokesperson said: “Please be aware that there is currently heavy traffic in the area of Booths (supermarket) on Scotforth Road, Lancaster.

“This is due to a road traffic collision. If possible please find an alternative route.

“Thank you in advance for your patience.”
