34 Blackburn with Darwen roadworks which start this week

From today (January 15) 34 roadworks have commenced in the borough and traffic management is in place.

Included in the list are planned roadworks only for which permit applications to carry out works have been received. They do not include any deemed urgent or emergency works.

A council spokesperson said: "This bulletin provides information on planned roadworks starting Monday, January 15, which involves traffic management.

“Please bear in mind that these are planned roadworks only for which permit applications to carry out works have been received, and do not include any deemed urgent or emergency works.

“Due to lead-in periods for minor works, there may be additional works not on this list which start next week. The lead-in period for minor works, up to three days duration, is three working days, so for example, a Utility company wanting to start work on Thursday next week would apply on Monday.

“This is where the One Network map becomes an extremely handy tool for you to use. The map is updated in real-time to show both planned and emergency works with several layers to supplement it, such as live traffic data.

“It’s an extremely useful tool to check daily as part of your journey planning to help avoid potential delays.”
