A glamping business in Skelmersdale will face some of Britain’s toughest investors, when Dragons' Den airs this evening (January 11).

Secret Garden Glamping, a glamping experience provider, will appear in front of five multi-millionaire ‘dragon’ investors in the BBC show, in the hope of bringing their business venture to the next level.

Derry Green started constructing the glamping site in lockdown and officially opened in August 2020.

It has been likened to the Love Island villa (ITV reality dating show) as pods have their own hot tub, sauna area, fire pit, cinema area and beyond.

A spokesperson for the company described it as a venue that has “captivated adventure seekers and nature lovers with its unique approach to outdoor accommodations”.

Derry said: “This is a momentous occasion for us. Dragons’ Den is the perfect platform to showcase the magic we’ve created here at The Secret Garden Glamping.

“We believe our unique approach to glamping will resonate with the Dragons and we’re eager to share our story with the world.”

The glamping sites boast spacious and beautifully decorated units, private outdoor spaces, and a range of thoughtful touches that create an "unforgettable escape".

If all goes well on the show, the business is set to expand its offering across the country.

A spokesperson for the business said: “The Dragons, known for their shrewd business acumen, will undoubtedly be intrigued by the potential for growth and innovation within the booming glamping industry.”
