Rubbish has been dumped on the pavement of one of the busiest roads in Blackburn.
Pictures of the fly-tip were shared with the Lancashire Telegraph this morning (Tuesday).
The bags of rubbish were spotted on Preston New Road close to the junction with Adelaide Terrace.
One resident who lives nearby said: “It is shocking that people think it is fine to just dump these on the pavement without a care in the world.
“There is no shame in some people. This is the main road in the town.
“They will expect the local council to just come and pick this up.”
The George Street West household waste recycling centre is open every day, apart from Wednesdays, from 8am to 5pm.
The council cannot remove fly tipping that has been dumped on privately maintained land, however it will investigate this to try and identify the offender.
Residents can report fly-tipping online on the council website.
