Just look at the crowds who went to Burnley’s annual summer fair in 1922.
It was held on the town’s Cattle Market during the wakes week holiday.
The Cattle Market site was on Parker Lane and would host the annual event until 1949.
The carousel in the background was a pretty impressive ride and the various sideshows and stalls offered all kinds of delights.
