An investigation has been launched after a young person punched a train guard in the face at Pleasington train station.
The train guard was working a service between Preston and Blackburn.
They asked three teenagers to leave the station at Pleasington as they did not have a ticket and were refusing to buy any.
On the platform, one of the youths punched the guard in the face. One was detained and enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: βA train guard working a service between Preston and Blackburn asked three teenagers to leave the train at Pleasington as they had no tickets and were refusing to buy them.
