Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery is to hold its Art Open exhibition programme for a second time next year.
It is asking for for all local artists, amateur and professional, to submit their work for what aims to be an exciting and diverse show, and it is also a chance for them to showcase their work.
The inaugural Art Open exhibition in 2022 was won by Richard Cross and hailed a success.
Cllr Quesir Mahmood, Blackburn with Darwen Council’s deputy leader, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for artists to take part in and have the chance to have their work recognised in such a rich area for arts, culture and heritage.
"It is an opportunity for all artists to submit their work and we are lucky to have this second open call in the borough to showcase more talent.
"I would encourage all artists to get involved so that they don’t miss this great chance to have their artwork in Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery."
Entries to the Art Open 2024 can be submitted at the museum between Thursday, January 18, and Saturday, January 20, from 12pm to 4pm.
The museum is currently closed due to building work until January however the entry form can be downloaded from the museum’s website.
Hard copies can be collected from Blackburn with Darwen Library and Information Service in Town Hall Street, Blackburn; The Making Rooms in Exchange Street, Blackburn; and Blackburn Visitor Centre at Blackburn Market in Church Street, Blackburn.
All submissions must be accompanied by a fully-completed entry form.
