Plans have been submitted to a council seeking permission to cut down 30 trees.
The trees, which are located in Boothman Park in Barley New Road, Barley, are believed to have ash die-back and are also said to be hanging over private roads and activity areas.
Joshua Gibson, of NW Landscapes, lodged the application with Pendle Council last week and if approved plans to remove the trees and then replace them by replanting 30 native trees once work is complete.
The planning application reads: “There is 30 ash trees to dismantle and remove which have ash die back.
“Replanting of 30 native trees will take place after work is complete.
“These trees are hanging over private roads and activity areas.”
No other information, including about the method of removal or the time frame in which the works will take place, have been included in the application and other documents associated with the proposals are inaccessible via Pendle Council’s website.
As of yet no objections have been raised.
